This project didn’t involve a big transformation but a subtle enhancement. The original flat had a long corridor, small living room and kitchen, one next to the other, and just one full bathroom serving three bedrooms.

Our first decision was to unite the living-dining room and kitchen in order to optimise the area of each space and make up for their limited size. The kitchen is now an open space that enjoys natural light coming from the living room’s balcony door. The dining table balances out the lack of space serving as kitchen work surface.

Another important intervention was turning the half bathroom –without shower nor bath- into a full bathroom so as to improve its users’ daily life. Moreover, some partitions were modified to resize some areas and be able to fit in the storage elements.

A large scale sliding door, in the entrance hall, separates day and night areas providing privacy.
